Epsilor-Electric Fuel Passes the Medical Device Quality Standard

Audit ISO-13485

Now certified compliant with highest international standards for medical device quality management, the battery manufacturer will launch a new line of medical products beginning from January 2016

COMPAMED, Düsseldorf, Germany (November 16th, 2015): Epsilor-Electric Fuel Ltd., a leading battery and battery charger manufacturer, today announced it passed the audits for receiving an ISO-13485 quality standard certification for medical devices. Harmonized with the EU medical device standards and directives, ISO-13485 controls product safety, work environment, development and risk management and material traceability .  The Company’s newly-certified Electric-Fuel medical battery brand will be available as of January 2016.

Operating from its R&D and manufacturing facilities in Israel, Epsilor-Electric Fuel offers a wide portfolio of custom and off-the-shelf batteries and chargers for medical devices. In recent years, the company has concentrated on providing high-performance, high-reliability batteries for demanding applications.  Current offerings include a Li-Ion battery of high energy density which is ideal for portable, long-endurance medical ventilators, as well as a Li-Ion battery of exceptional temperature resistance, capable of withstanding the extreme ambient temperatures of autoclave sterilization (130°C).

The Company has also introduced an off-the-shelf product line of slim and compact four cell and eight cell batteries, with a wide range of voltage and capacity characteristics.
