Electric Fuel to Present High-Power Marine Lithium Iron Phosphate Batteries at METSTRADE Show
Amsterdam, The Netherlands, November 1, 2017 – Electric Fuel, a globally recognized manufacturer of professional batteries, will launch its high density lithium iron phosphate marine battery at the METSTRADE Show, which will take place in RAI Amsterdam, The Netherlands, on November 14–16, 2017.
The new battery is designed as a drop-in replacement for traditional lead-acid batteries in various marine and professional vehicle applications.
The marine battery, as well as the company’s high-end emergency life jacket lights, will be presented at Electric Fuel’s stand 12.301.
Electric Fuel’s standard LiFePO4 batteries offer high energy density, thus offering twice the energy of an equivalent lead-acid battery. The new battery also offers an extended operational life of up to 5,000 charging cycles.
The battery is designed to serve a wide range of professional applications in tough marine environments where reliable and clean energy is required.
The batteries have the following advantages:
- Up to 5,000 cycles, enabling usage for 10 years
- Internal BMS provides safe and protected operation (including over-discharge protection and auto shut-off)
- LED State of Charge indicator and remote Bluetooth monitoring
- Fast charging – approximately 1 hour to full charge
Based on lithium iron phosphate electrochemistry, together with its integrated battery management system, the cost-effective battery delivers high power and extended life cycle at the highest safety standards.
“Our vast experience in developing batteries for the military market enables us to present the marine market with robust and high-performance batteries that offer a real alternative to both standard lead acid, gel and AGM batteries,” said Ronen Badichi, president of Electric Fuel. “In the long run, our batteries offer a much better return on investment than any other solution currently on the market.”
Electric Fuel’s line of automatic, water-activated, flashing lifejacket lights includes models offering bright LED lighting based on lithium or alkaline cell chemistries. The lights feature a compact design for easy stowage and are lightweight, easy to transport and are SOLAS, MED and USCG approved.
